Terms and Conditions
Last updated: May 4, 2026
1. Overview
SnapTapQR is a customer engagement platform for local businesses. We provide QR hub pages, missed call text-back, review management, lead capture, and analytics tools. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the SnapTapQR platform, including our website, partner dashboard, hub pages, and SMS messaging services.
2. SMS Messaging Program Terms
The SnapTapQR Missed Call Text-Back program is an SMS messaging service operated by SnapTapQR on behalf of local business partners. When you call a business that uses SnapTapQR's missed call text-back service and the call is not answered, you will receive a single text message asking if you would like to connect via text. By replying YES (or any response), you expressly consent to receive additional text messages related to your inquiry.
SMS Program Details
- Program Name: SnapTapQR Missed Call Text-Back
- Program Description: You may opt in to receive SMS messages by completing the consent form on a business's hub page, or by replying YES to a one-time missed call follow-up message. Once opted in, an AI assistant may begin a conversation to understand your needs and connect you with the business. The business owner may also reply directly via SMS. If you do not opt in, no further messages will be sent. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or service.
- Message Frequency: You will receive one initial consent request per missed call. If you opt in by replying, additional messages depend on the conversation (typically 2 to 10 messages per interaction). You may also receive one follow-up review request after your inquiry is resolved. The missed call text-back program does not send ongoing recurring marketing messages. Recurring promotional and customer engagement messages from business partners are governed by a separate program described in Section 5 (Business Partner Direct-to-Customer Messaging Program) below, which requires its own express written consent.
- Message and Data Rates: Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.
- Opt-Out: You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a confirmation message and no further messages will be sent.
- Help: For support, reply HELP to any message, or contact us at alerts@snaptapqr.com.
- Carriers Supported: Compatible with all major US carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
3. How SMS Consent Is Obtained
Keyword Reply Opt-In
End users initiate contact by calling a business phone number displayed on the business's SnapTapQR hub page, business card, signage, or other material. The hub page displays an SMS disclosure below the call button stating: "If your call is not answered, you may receive a text message. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out." When the call is not answered, the caller receives one text message identifying the business by name and asking if they would like to connect via text. This message includes opt-out instructions (Reply STOP to opt out) and "Msg & data rates may apply." The caller must reply YES (or any response) to expressly consent to receive additional messages. If the caller does not reply, no further messages are sent.
Once consent is obtained, an AI assistant or the business owner may continue the conversation. After the inquiry is resolved, the caller may receive one follow-up review request. No messages are sent for marketing or promotional purposes unrelated to the caller's original inquiry. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or service.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
4. Business Partner SMS Notifications
As a SnapTapQR business partner, you may opt in to receive SMS notifications when customers submit lead forms on your hub page. These notifications are sent to the mobile phone number you provide in your account settings.
Partner Lead Notification Program
- Opt-In: You consent to receive SMS notifications when you enable "Text Notifications" in your partner dashboard settings. By enabling this feature, you expressly agree to receive text messages when customers submit lead forms on your hub page.
- Message Frequency: Message frequency varies based on lead volume. You may receive one notification for each new lead submitted.
- Message and Data Rates: Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details.
- Opt-Out: You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any notification, or by disabling Text Notifications in your dashboard settings.
- Help: Reply HELP for support or contact alerts@snaptapqr.com
Your consent to receive business notifications is not shared with third parties. Consent is not a condition of service, but certain features require SMS notifications to function.
5. Business Partner Direct-to-Customer Messaging Program
SnapTapQR business partners may use the platform to send text messages to their own existing customers — individuals with whom the partner already has a direct prior business relationship (such as past or current clients). This program covers two categories of messages: (1) transactional and service-related messages directly tied to the customer's service or business relationship with the partner (such as appointment reminders, technician ETAs, schedule changes, status updates, quote follow-ups, inspection reports, post-service receipts, annual maintenance reminders, and review requests for completed work); and (2) occasional promotional messages not tied to a specific service interaction (such as special offers, customer appreciation, and events). The two categories operate under different consent standards described below. Promotional messages are sent only to the partner's existing customers who have opted in — never to cold leads, prospects, or purchased lists. SnapTapQR does not facilitate cold outreach, prospecting, purchased lead lists, or messaging to individuals who are not already customers of the sending business.
Program Details
- Program Name: SnapTapQR Business Partner Direct-to-Customer Messaging Program
- Program Description: If you are an existing customer of a participating business, you may receive text messages from that business in two categories. Transactional and service-related messages directly tied to your service or business relationship — such as appointment reminders, technician ETAs, schedule changes, status updates, quote follow-ups, inspection reports, post-service receipts, annual maintenance reminders, and review requests for completed work — are sent under the prior express consent you established when you voluntarily provided your phone number to the business. Promotional messages not tied to a specific service interaction — such as special offers, customer appreciation, and events — are sent only if you have additionally provided express written consent through one of the methods described below. Promotional messages are sent only to the business's existing customers who have opted in — never to cold leads, prospects, or purchased lists. Each business sends messages only to its own existing customers using its own assigned 10DLC phone number. Consent applies only to the specific business that collected it and is never shared, sold, transferred, or used across multiple businesses on the platform. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or service.
- How Consent Is Obtained — Transactional Messages: When you voluntarily provide your mobile phone number to a participating business in the course of a service interaction (such as during intake, scheduling, quoting, invoicing, or post-service follow-up), you give your prior express consent to receive text messages from that business that are directly related to your service or business relationship. No separate written consent is required for these transactional and service-related messages. Every such message identifies the business by name and includes STOP/HELP instructions, and you may reply STOP at any time to opt out.
- How Consent Is Obtained — Promotional Messages: To receive promotional messages, you additionally consent through SMS double opt-in. The business sends a one-time invitation text message from its assigned 10DLC number reading substantially as follows: "Hi [First Name], this is [Business Name]. We'd like to send you occasional offers and updates. Reply YES to subscribe or STOP to opt out. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies." You are added to the business's promotional SMS list only if you reply "YES." If you do not reply, or if you reply "STOP," you are not added to the promotional list. Under the federal E-SIGN Act, an SMS reply constitutes electronic written consent. Promotional messages are sent only to the business's existing customers — never to cold leads, prospects, or purchased lists. Consent records including phone number, timestamp, and consent method are retained for compliance purposes.
- Message Frequency: Message frequency varies by business and message type. You may receive appointment reminders before scheduled appointments, occasional promotional or seasonal offers, occasional event invitations or customer appreciation messages, and follow-up review requests after a service interaction.
- Message and Data Rates: Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.
- Opt-Out: You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message from a participating business. A STOP reply immediately and permanently halts ALL further messages from that business — both promotional and transactional (including appointment reminders, technician ETAs, and other service-related messages). You will receive a one-time confirmation message, and STOP requests are enforced at the platform level and cannot be overridden by the business.
- Help: For support, reply HELP to any message, or contact us at alerts@snaptapqr.com.
- Carriers Supported: Compatible with all major US carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent collected through this program are used only for the specific business that collected the consent and are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
